In memory of Chadwick Boseman, a hero on and off screen
— Chadwick Boseman (@chadwickboseman) August 29, 2020
When I woke up today it was to a series of messages, all of which left me with a feeling of emptiness.
It’s a strange feeling to miss someone you’ve never met, but Chadwick Boseman is a man that I won’t forget.
How could he have passed away? He was only 43? For the past few years running, he’s been in movie after movie.
He was in his stride, in his prime, to see him gone feels like a crime.
His talent was endless, he could act, dance and sing. And it was through this craftsmanship that he became a King.
Turning into T’Challa, he became the Black Panther. A legend, a champion – ruler of Wakanda.
He helped change the game, led representation of black heroes. For child and man, his royal role shaped new cultural flows.
To have worked so hard while he was ill is nothing short of inspiring. But rest easy now King, we’ll continue admiring.
You brought my daughter and I countless memories in a short space of time, and I’m so grateful for how you encouraged us to shine 💜✨🖤🤴🏾
